The Rebirth of the Dragonborn

Another Dream

As soon as Graff, Rhogar, and Tor make it back to Brindol with the recently freed prisoners, they can think of nothing but sleep. The town’s council members understandingly offer them a place to rest for the night, free of charge of course. As the heroes slumber, each enjoying their own personal nirvana, everything goes dark. All of the visions they were having disappear into a numbing blackness. Soon after they all hear an identical deep booming voice. It is quickly recognized as Bahamut. “You have done well my children. You have risen up against your first challenge and conquered it. You have far to go yet, but you have made a good first step. However I must tell you there is another who will be joining your cause. SHE will present herself at the right time. She will be the first female general in your hopeful new clan. You must place your full trust in her. Remember all of your trials to prove yourself will present themselves to you and you must face them head on without hesitation. Now rest my children, rest well.”

The next morning Tor, Rhogar, and Graff awaken and feel completely rejuvenated. Upon coming downstairs to the inn they stayed at, everyone is talking excitedly. Tor keeps catching the words, “call to arms”, and “Bordrin’s Watch.” They learn Bordrin’s Watch is a keep in some moutnains far to the west. It has been able to keep all of the Orc from the other side of the mountains at bay. Now something is different and it is feared that the Orcs will breach the walls and come down and invade the rest of the world.

Realizing that this is obviously one of Bahamut‘s trials the heroes quickly accept the charge, recieve directions, and head out towards Overlook, where they are to meet and recieve further instructions. After dispatching the band of Orc’s they came accross just outside of Overlook, they finally reach the city. Upon entering, they are led directly to the great hall along with many other adventurers. Once there, again taking on jobs that no one else dares to, they accept their quest to go to the Monastery of the Sundered Chain to warn the priests.

The heroes quickly learn that they are too late and the monastery has been overrun with Orcs, and the priests have been slaughtered and used as Orcish snacks. The heroes decend further and further into the lower levels until one of their comrades falls in battle. With Tor down they are forced to try to fortify their position as best they can to give them a chance to rest.

Rivenroar Deep Finale

The heroes finally fight their way through the rest of the catacombs and are able to locate and rescue all of the living prisoners. After a tough battle and no rest, they gather all of the prisoners together and escort them back to Brindol.

Rivenroar Deep 1.0

Tor, Rhogar, and Graff fought their way through the first few rooms of the Rivenroar underground and eventually found Adronsius. Adronsius tells them how he has taken the brunt of the physical abuse, which is pretty apparent given his very beaten, bruised, and bloodied state. Adronsius gives the rescuers detailed directions to where Jalissa is being held. Realizing that they cannot take all the kidnapped Brindol residents through the rest of the catacombs, the heroes decide to set up a small, low profile camp for the prisoners just outside the entrance. After further exploration through a strange room covered in phosphorescent fungi and mushrooms, they eventually battle their way to yet another of the kidnapped residents. Zerriksa is found held inside of some sort of magic barrier. After a little intuition and quick moves Zerriksa is pulled from the barrier and made free. She is quite cranky and even annoying. Zerriksa doesn’t know locations for any of the other Brindol residents, but tells you she saw Thurann recently and she believes that Kartenix is dead. After sending her back to the camp outside the group continues to delve deeper into the underground.

Brindol Scuffle

After the heroes make their way to the town of Brindol they come across one of the local taverns called the Antler and Thistle, where they decide to go in for a short break and a drink. Their break and relaxing drink is cut short as several goblins and hobgoblins burst into the tavern and begin to burn and demolish everything in sight. Graff, Rhogar, and Tor, realizing that this could be what Bahamut told them about, decide to do the Dragonborn honorable thing and defend the town. After a short scuffle with the goblins and hobgoblins and quick defeat, the heroes attention is turned to the huge ogre outside throwing flaming casks at the buildings. Again the heroes defend against the tyrants, and slay the ogre and its two goblinoid minions.

The next morning Rhogar, Graff, Tor awaken to see the true devastation in the town. Its not long before they are sought after and found by one of the members of the town council, Councilmember Eoffram Troyas. Troyas tells the heroes that several residents of the town have been kidnapped, and some treasures stolen from their Hall of Great Valor. He then asks you for you help in rescuing Adronsius, Jalissa, Kartenix, Thurann, Mirtala, Sertanian, and Zerriksa, and also recovering the the lost artifacts. He also tell you about a captured hobgoblin that is being held in the middle of town and gives you permission to question him.

From questioning Morrik you learn the extent of your true quest. Morrik draws you a very detailed map of the crypts beneath the Castle Rivenroar. As the Castle Rivenroar comes into view you quickly realize that Morrik has led you into a trap, as a group of Kruthiks ambush you. Once the Kruthiks are dealt with there is nothing left to do but enter the underground of Castle Rivenroar and search for the residents of Brindol.

The Dream

Bahamut came to Rhogar, Graff, and Tor, and spoke to them. In the dream Bahamut told the all three of them he sees potential in them all. He asks them to prove their loyalty and their drive by completing certain tests. Bahamut never elaborated as to what the tests would be only that they would know when they presented themselves. In return for passing his tests, Bahamut would allow the heroes to begin rebuilding the fallen Dragonborn by starting a clan of their own. Rhogar being the only true Dragonborn by race, would be the clan leader, while Tor and Graff would be Dragonborn in heart, mind, and soul and by the end be considered no less Dragonborn than Rhogar or anyone else. For their first task Bahamut tells them to travel to the town of Brindol where their first task would present itself. Immediately after this Bahamut disappears and Rhogar, Graff, and Tor all three wake feeling completely rejuvenated.
